Established as country house accommodation since 1991, we pride ourselves with having created a little piece of Welsh heaven. As the only luxury five star highly commended guest house gold award winner in Betws-y-Coed, we can be found listed amongst the finest hospitality providers in Wales, our private Snowdonian hideaway offers unique, quiet, intimate accommodation, and a gourmet sanctuary for the discerning traveller, who seeks the ultimate of holidays in Wales.
Unlike many other country houses in Wales, the traditional 17th century Welsh stone exterior belies, what lies within, for once inside the entranceway opens into a stunning sequence of intimate, immaculately designed rooms, where a fusion of traditional and contemporary style is allied with simplicity.
Five extremely well-appointed luxurious en-suite guest bedrooms - one with a four poster king bed - are decorated with imaginative flair. All of our bedrooms are furnished with both bath and shower facilities, complimentary tea/coffee trays, direct dial telephones, DVD/colour televisions and free Wi Fi. Bathrobes, hair dryers and Molton Brown toiletries provide thoughtful touches in the en-suite bathrooms.
The highlight of your stay will be the opportunity for you to enjoy an exciting and intimate culinary experience in our ten cover restaurant. Individual dining tables make the perfect showcase for Modern British cuisine, which is artistically presented and utterly delicious. The three course daily changing menu offers a succinct choice of two starter, two main course, two dessert or Welsh cheese. Carefully selected ingredients may include succulent fillet of Welsh Black beef, organic Welsh Mountain lamb, trawler fresh turbot or sea bass. In addition delicious and thoughtfully prepared accompaniments, such as home-made bread create a feast for the eyes.
Well known names such as Louis Jadot, Ata Rangi and Paul Jaboulet feature amongst many others to comprise a well chosen and honoured wine list of over one hundred bin's.
From our idyllic rural location you can explore the breathtaking scenery as well as enjoy great days out visiting nearby tourist attractions. Alternatively, for those who wish to leave the car keys behind you can walk or cycle directly from Tan-y-Foel Country House.
